A Free Give-A-Way! ~ Time to try something different :)

A yummy Hemp Recipe to try.

Super Hemp Raw Shelled Organic Hemp Seeds

When I first saw this product for review I was not sure if I wanted to try it or not. So once again I went to Google and reviewed the product to see exactly what it was and if it could be harmful. I was trying to see if this was legal or if it would get me fired from my mail carrier job.

This is the good news that I found out:

Even though hemp is marijuana's cousin, hemp seeds contain no THC (tetrahydrocannabinol), which is the psychoactive substance in marijuana. Approximately 44% of the weight of hemp seed is edible oils, containing about 80% essential fatty acids (EFAs); e.g., linoleic acid, omega-6 (LA, 55%), alpha-linolenic acid, omega-3 (ALA, 22%), in addition to gamma-linolenic acid, omega-6 (GLA, 1–4%) and stearidonic acid, omega-3 (SDA, 0–2%). Proteins (including edestin) are the other major component (33%). Hempseed's amino acid profile is comparable to other sources of protein such as meat, milk, eggs and soy. So all of this is good news!

My Review:

I really like them and I am glad I tried them. I use them like nuts and sprinkle them on a lot of different things. They do have a light buttery nut-like flavor and blend easily into desserts, breads, pancakes, granola bars and other baked goods. I have sprinkled Hemp on my salads and cereal. mmmmm

And now you can get some for free: (I can not start the contest until 1/9/2015, so please come back!)

Well I became a product tester about a month ago and I am loving it. It is 12:12 at my house and I brought the New Year in with my little poodle named Roxie. Hubby has to work tomorrow and he is in bed snoozing away.

The product I am reviewing now (the first one of the year) is "Supreme Forskolin"

On the front of the bottle this is what it says it supports:

  • It supports Fat Metabolism & Weight Loss

  • Reduces Bladder Infections

  • Increases Weight Loss

  • Reduces High Blood Pressure

  • Helps with insomnia

After Research this is what I have discovered about this product:

Forskolin is a chemical found in the roots of the plant Plectranthus barbatus (Coleus forskohlii). This plant has been used since ancient times to treat heart disorders such as high blood pressure and chest pain (angina), as well as respiratory disorders such as asthma.

When taken by mouth, forskolin is also used to treat allergies, skin conditions such as eczema and psoriasis, obesity, painful menstrual periods, irritable bowel syndrome(IBS), urinary tract infections (UTI), bladder infections, advanced cancer, blood clots, sexual problems in men, trouble sleeping (insomnia), and convulsions.

Healthcare providers sometimes give forskolin intravenously (by IV) for heart failure.

Some people breathe in (inhale) forskolin powder for asthma.

Forskolin drops are used in the eyes to treat glaucoma.

Herbal product manufacturers are now producing Coleus forskohlii extracts that contain high levels of forskolin. These preparations are being promoted for the same conditions for which forskolin has been traditionally used.

How does it work?

Forskolin works on muscles in the heart and in the walls of the blood vessels. It produces a more powerful heartbeat and widening of the blood vessels, which lowers blood pressure.

What I am hoping Forskolin does for me:

I am now taking this product, but this is not going to work overnight. I am hopeful it will help with my health issues and I will update this after the 60th capsule.

  • I have gained 25 pounds this year and I am on a mission to get healthy and lose weight and Forskolin supports metabolism and weight loss

  • I have interstitial cystitis (an ulcerated bladder) and am prone to bladder infections and this product will reduce my infections

  • I have high blood pressure, however I am taking a drug called Lisinopril which keeps my blood pressure lowered. Maybe this product will eliminate my high blood pressure and I can quit taking medication for it.

  • I go through bouts of insomnia. Right now I have been sleeping well, so I can not test this out.

  • I have allergies and eczema and my skin is so itchy from the eczema right now. I am praying this calms my eczema and allergies down.

  • I have IBS (irritable bowel syndrome)and hopefully this product will take that pain away.

My Plans for My Blog

I was not sure whether I want 1 blog or two different ones. At first I thought I would have one for my personal life and my arts & crafts and another for my product testing, but I have chosen to just have one, so this is going to be a very busy blog eventually, once I get it going. I need some followers on Twitter to help get accepted to be a product tester so please take time to follow me on Twitter. Twitter is new for me just like Blogging, so bear with me and buckle up for this bumpy ride.

Since I am not a Product tester yet, let's talk about something I really love and that is my arts and crafts. All my life I have been involved in some type of arts & crafts. I change with the trends, so I am always learning or creating something different.

I have been trading my arts and crafts in an art swap site for about a year now.

Visit Swap-Bot here: http://swap-bot.com/user:KatShakKreations

I have met a lot of awesome people and received art from all over the world. So much fun! I was just involved in an advent swap where me and another lady traded 24 hand-made gifts. I can't wait to open them starting this Monday. How exciting!

My gifts all wrapped up that I sent to my swap partner.

By the way my Thanksgiving cooking did not go quite as planned, but it was still a big hit with my husband.

Until next time....

The Snow Queen and I must roll on. We have a lot of Christmas to deliver!
