A Free Give-A-Way! ~ Time to try something different :)

A yummy Hemp Recipe to try.

Super Hemp Raw Shelled Organic Hemp Seeds

When I first saw this product for review I was not sure if I wanted to try it or not. So once again I went to Google and reviewed the product to see exactly what it was and if it could be harmful. I was trying to see if this was legal or if it would get me fired from my mail carrier job.

This is the good news that I found out:

Even though hemp is marijuana's cousin, hemp seeds contain no THC (tetrahydrocannabinol), which is the psychoactive substance in marijuana. Approximately 44% of the weight of hemp seed is edible oils, containing about 80% essential fatty acids (EFAs); e.g., linoleic acid, omega-6 (LA, 55%), alpha-linolenic acid, omega-3 (ALA, 22%), in addition to gamma-linolenic acid, omega-6 (GLA, 1–4%) and stearidonic acid, omega-3 (SDA, 0–2%). Proteins (including edestin) are the other major component (33%). Hempseed's amino acid profile is comparable to other sources of protein such as meat, milk, eggs and soy. So all of this is good news!

My Review:

I really like them and I am glad I tried them. I use them like nuts and sprinkle them on a lot of different things. They do have a light buttery nut-like flavor and blend easily into desserts, breads, pancakes, granola bars and other baked goods. I have sprinkled Hemp on my salads and cereal. mmmmm

And now you can get some for free: (I can not start the contest until 1/9/2015, so please come back!)

Once upon a time.....

ebook

This blog is about me and reading. Well it is actually a product review, but we will get to that in a few minutes.

Once upon a time... when my kids were young I lived in books. I would pick up a novel and spend all night and day reading the book until it was finished. I needed very little sleep back then and my children made sure that is exactly what I got. I can still here my voice as I asked the doctor why my children did not take naps and he replied, "Some children do not require naps." Just my luck! Grrr....

Times were tough when my children were small and I purchased my books from Garage sales and auctions. My favorite books were "Period Romances." I am a romantic at heart and I always imagined myself in the character role.

But then life happened. My husband became ill and died young and left me to raise my children by myself. Reading a book was a luxury as I just never had time. So I moved on and forgot about my treasured books.

I have had friends and families that purchased the Kindles and the phone apps to read their books, but I never thought about it until I decided to do a Free review.

I downloaded the app and I read a book. This book:

"Time to Begin" (Get your copy by clicking the link below:)

My Review:

"Time to Begin" is a beautiful and versatile novel about people who are forced to choose new paths, because the old ones have disappeared beneath their feet. I enjoyed the book and glad I started my journey of reading again. This reminded me of when my path was destroyed and I had to start over. Worth the read!

Product Review is Not as Easy as Everyone Thinks it is. I am Knee Deep!!!

Wow I am new to product testing and deciding to become a product tester in December while having a job as a mail carrier is insane. And it does not help that I am OCD and a procrastinator. I seriously have 43 products to test and review (Yikes!!!), so let's see how many I can knock out today. Trust me it will only be a few, as I am very picky about my Blog posts.

And then there is my dreaded Dr. appointment at 3pm. I do not even like my doctor, but I need my meds, so I must go. *sigh*

I will be posting a couple of Give-A-Ways once I learn how (Seriously I do not even have a clue where to start). So please sign up for my Give-a-Ways if you reside in the US and if you actually need what I am giving away. Ha!

Okay no more time for idle chit chat. I owe these businesses testing and reviews, so Ta Ta for now!

Beauty Professional ~ Oleavine Skincare Beauty Company

rev

Little Something to Tuck into the Stocking of Someone you Care About

Yes it is that time of year again. Everyone is running around trying to find gifts for the special people in their life. This is the time of year I go into sheer panic. In the past I usually just run into Walmart or other stores and grab a bunch of stuff that would fit in a stocking. This year I started early and put some thought into it. After being given this product to review, I decided it was worth the purchase.

One of the things I purchased was this awesome little tear drop shaped Facial Beauty Sponge from Oleavine Beauty Professional

Be confident in knowing your new Beauty Sponge is:
-Free From Chemicals, Pollution and Irritants
-100% Biodegradable and Sustainable (You can even plant it in your flowerbed or compost when you want to retire it)
-Not Tested on Animals, and Vegan Friendly
-Has NO Added Dyes or Colorants

Oleavine is a leading Anti-aging and Skincare Beauty Company.
100% Plant Based Konjac Sponge
100% NATURAL, ECO-FRIENDLY and Biodegradable

The Konjac fiber is grown on the pristine volcanic plains of Jeju Island in South Korea, free from chemicals, pollution and irritants. The sponge hydrates quickly, and lasts longer with proper care than others tested.

This luxuriously soft sponge gently exfoliates, cleanses, and is naturally pH balanced. The activated bamboo charcoal absorbs toxins, fights bacteria and excess oils leaving your face glowing, refreshed and radiant.

Soft enough for a baby's skin while still providing effective exfoliation. Relaxing and gentle for daily use even on the most sensitive skin. Say goodbye to the irritation caused by harsher exfoliating methods and expensive electronic gadgets. You don't even need to use a face cleanser, unless you want to. Fantastic for battling blackheads and breakouts!

NEW IMPROVED TEARDROP SHAPE - FOR FACE AND BODY - New ergonomically designed teardrop shape fits comfortably in the palm of your hand while the soft rounded point allows you to gently exfoliate sensitive hard to reach areas around your eyes. Ideal shape for the contours of your face but still large enough for your body. You'll love using it in the shower or by the mirror!

So what are you waiting for? Visit this link and get yours:

My Plans for My Blog

I was not sure whether I want 1 blog or two different ones. At first I thought I would have one for my personal life and my arts & crafts and another for my product testing, but I have chosen to just have one, so this is going to be a very busy blog eventually, once I get it going. I need some followers on Twitter to help get accepted to be a product tester so please take time to follow me on Twitter. Twitter is new for me just like Blogging, so bear with me and buckle up for this bumpy ride.

Please go to my Twitter and follow me: https://twitter.com/ksskaggs

Since I am not a Product tester yet, let's talk about something I really love and that is my arts and crafts. All my life I have been involved in some type of arts & crafts. I change with the trends, so I am always learning or creating something different.

I have been trading my arts and crafts in an art swap site for about a year now.

Visit Swap-Bot here: http://swap-bot.com/user:KatShakKreations

I have met a lot of awesome people and received art from all over the world. So much fun! I was just involved in an advent swap where me and another lady traded 24 hand-made gifts. I can't wait to open them starting this Monday. How exciting!

My gifts all wrapped up that I sent to my swap partner.

***Stay tuned for my give-away of the week starting next week.***

By the way my Thanksgiving cooking did not go quite as planned, but it was still a big hit with my husband.

Until next time....

The Snow Queen and I must roll on. We have a lot of Christmas to deliver!
